Teachers will be required to keep daily attendance and engagement records (as evidenced by completion of classwork, homework, etc.) for all students, as per NYS guidance. Daily attendance requirements are:
-your child is here on campus for inperson learning by the start of the school day
-your child is logged into their zoom meeting for remote instruction when their teacher is admitting them
If your child cannot attend school (remotely or inperson) you must contact the school office at (518) 785-6453 stating the reason for the absence. The school office will contact families daily regarding violations of student attendance.
The student support team, composed of administration and teachers, will meet frequently to monitor the progress of our students. Should a child require intervention, due to inconsistant attendance, the child will be referred to the student support team. The support team, which includes the principal, as well as members of the North Colonie Special Education Team and teacher representatives will review teacher submissions and create an intervention plan which will include a tier of support to engage students in the remote learning work.
